Robert shares his thoughts and experiences from Odile (category 4 Hurricane), “Hurricane Odile is noted to be the most powerful hurricane ever recorded on the Baja Peninsula. We experienced its force and it came in the middle of the night. We were hoping Odile would head out to sea and spare us the full brunt of its power, but it didn’t.” It made a direct hit on the Baja peninsula and the village where we live.
“So in the middle of the night, holding our loved ones and our animals near us, we huddled in our houses, finding what we thought was the safest place to be…it was pitch dark and when the force of the winds and the rains came, the sounds were horrendous. We couldn’t see what was happening outside, but could easily imagine the devastation. We really didn’t know what was occurring outside, but what was really obvious was how important it was to be with those we love. To hold them close and think of the loved ones who are not here, because the possibility of death and grave injury was very real, inescapable.”
About 20 meditators, gathered to sit together two weeks after hurricane Odile. (Click on the below to listen to the talks).
